Note on terminology and evidence basis

Specific work head names such as Coarse Disintegrating Head, Square Hole Screen, Standard Emulsor Screen, Fine Emulsor Screen, and Slotted Head follow commercial rotor-stator mixer nomenclature used by equipment suppliers. General engineering claims in this article are based on peer reviewed rotor-stator literature concerning shear generation, emulsification, hydraulic behavior, and scale up. Where a statement maps general process physics to a named commercial head type, that statement should be read as process engineering interpretation unless a comparative experimental source is cited directly for that geometry.
